Alleged photo of the next-generation iPhone’s SIM tray pops up online

iphone_5_sim_card_tray_1 There has been rumors that the next-gen iPhone will be made from liquid metal, but thanks to a photo of an alleged iPhone part, it looks like our hopes of a liquid metal iPhone could very well be dashed. iPhone parts vendor SW-BOX.com has posted a photo and information claiming that the photo you are looking at above is the SIM card tray belonging to the next-gen iPhone. Based on its design, it is reminiscent of the iPhone 4/4S which seems to suggest that 2012’s iPhone will not differ too greatly from the iPhone 4/4S’ design.

Many had initially thought that 2012’s iPhone would see a completely new design and the possibility of a liquid metal build. Suggestions of a nano-SIM have also been floating around thanks to Apple trying to push the standard. However given that there are probably just as many fake Apple parts as there are real ones, until we actually see the device for ourselves we will be taking this with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Could this SIM card tray belong to the next-gen iPhone?
