Nicki Minaj: 'A Voice in My Head Told Me to Delete My Twitter'

nicki-minaj-album-signing-for-pink-friday-roman-reloaded-03 It's more than song leaks that became the reason Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter account. The "Super Bass" singer admitted that a voice in her head told her to leave the microblogging site on Sunday, April 15.

Addressing her sudden exit on BBC's "Graham Norton Show", Minaj said, "A voice in my head told me to delete my Twitter and that's what I did. I had 11 million followers and I hope they will wait for me. I reply all the time and get to know them by name and I have a really personal bond with them …not all 11 million, but at least 10 of them a day."

When asked whether she would return to Twitter one day, the 29-year-old said, "I don't know yet, I'm thinking about it. I miss my Barbz, please bear with me." She had 30 days since deleting her account to reinstate her username.

Minaj left Twitter on an angry note. "Like seriously, it's but so much a person can take. Good f**ing bye," she wrote. It was assumed that she was mad at a fansite for leaking songs from "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" ahead of the album's official April 3 release.
